About Publix:

Publix, a chain of supermarkets, opened first store in Winter Haven, Florida, on Sept. 6, 1930. It was ranked No. 8 on Forbes’ 2015 list of America’s Largest Private Companies and is the largest in Florida..

Actually, it takes me one hour to Publix store every time, but I still prefer to go there. It is my favorite grocery store which located in a clean and large place. It opens 24 hours a day and provides neat and fresh produce, meat, and groceries all the time.

In addition, the store has a few great BOGO offers and often takes double coupons, so you are able to get great discount from it.

I have a Publix half a mile from me. The employees are always courteous and nice and the store is clean. I shop there every now and then for a few items and the BOGOs. Why? Because they are so high on their standard staple items. In fact, totally outrageous. I would spend $50 more per month if I got all my food items there. I drive another mile and go to the WalMart SuperCenter. Here’s proof: The Plumrose pre-cooked baby back ribs, one pound, is $5.98 at WalMart. Its $9.98 at Publix. I have found many items with $1-$2 differences. I just cannot afford Publix. They surprised me, as they have a great concept and operation. The prices are just out of my range.
